Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency, is seeking a Workday Integration Engineer to join our Client's team.


People Engineering Team

The People Engineering Team has the responsibility of building applications and experiences for engineers who change the world. Workday sits at the center of all people data and integrates with dozens of internal applications and dozens of external systems. As an Integration Engineer, you will play a key role in re-imagining productivity by shipping transformative products that serve employees and business groups. The ideal candidate will question common assumptions, rethink existing design, configurations, and see every challenge as an opportunity for system improvements. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to scale the business, evaluate current architecture, solve complex business problems for HR and Global Payroll, and inspire the team to challenge the status quo.


Workday Integration Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on large collections of Workday integrations.
  • Lead the research, design, development, testing, and delivery of new Workday Integrations.
  • Create detailed integration specifications, field mappings, and designs to support the entire integration deployment life cycle.
  • Work with business stakeholders to determine problem areas and the overall impact of projects.
  • Research integration failures, perform root cause analyses, and report back to management and business leaders. Develop plans to advance the overall Workday strategy.
  • Partner with business leaders and People Engineering teams to align on objectives and programs.
  • Help manage the timelines and deliverables within large, multi-month projects.
  • Understand data flows and system usage between internal systems and Workday, driving alignment with other system owners.
  • Drive an overall data strategy for people-related data and Workday’s place in it.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience working in Workday.
  • At least one full implementation of Workday, with demonstrated Workday technical and integrations experience.
  • 6+ years of experience building Workday Integrations with Workday Studio, EIB, and Core Connectors.
  • 6+ years of experience developing Workday custom reports and calculated fields.
  • 6+ years of experience integrating systems with third-party service vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
  • Enthusiastic about solving complex, system-to-system integration problems.
  • Familiarity with Workday administrative functions, including tenant configuration, data loads, payroll configurations, and maintenance.
  • Proven record of effectively interacting with large sets of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment with stakeholders and users.
  • Experience in Workday Extend-based application implementation.
  • Experience driving large architectural changes involving Workday and other systems.
  • Open to remote candidates within the US
