System Test Engineer

Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency, is seeking a System Test Engineer to join our Client's team.

The System Test Team conducts the planning and analysis of all MDS ground tests and flight tests in which the C2BMC program is a participant of Ground test types include:

pairwise tests, Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI), Integrated Ground Test (GTI), Distributed Ground Test (GTD), cyber tests, Space Domain Awareness (SDA), and pre-flight test HWIL efforts 

Flight tests are conducted with pre-determined sensors and shooters. International events are comprised of various ground tests and flight tests.

The System Test Engineer is responsible for the planning of all assigned test events, with emphasis on developing and implementing the test artifacts required for each event:

• Test objectives

• Architectures

• Data Item Descriptions

• Defense Designs

• Sensor Resource Management (SRM) settings

• Operational Tasking Data Link (OPTASKLINK), Air Defense Systems Integrator (ADSI) configuration and Forwarding Tables, CDS, TDACS, TRAUT TDACS, Comms Connectivity Matrices, Event Configuration Baseline (ECB)& System Adjustable Parameters (SAPs)/Site-Specific Parameters (SSPs)

• BDR and PR applicability

• Certification Data Packages

The position also provides the following support:

• Support planning phase reviews and meetings

• Support customer boards and meetings

• Support Data Management- Interface with developers

• Support government personnel during event execution phases when requested

• Support anomaly resolution and troubleshooting

• Support analysis group- Support Failure Review Boards (FRBs)

Basic Requirements: 

Career level typically with an advanced degree and 3+ years’ experience or bachelors with 5+ years’ experience or equivalent; wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in their field and provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with imaginative and thorough solutions; works under general direction, and results are reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives; failure to achieve results normally results in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources; frequent internal and external customer contacts and represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Technical knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense System (MDS) including sensors, shooters, command and control systems, and networks- Prior integration and test experience within the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program

Possible infrequent OCONUS travel.

Security Clearance Required: Secret
