Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team at our client’s site in , Fort Lauderdale,, FL.


Your Day to Day:

Intake of new requirements and feature requests for our 24/7 Production infrastructure.

Work with business and project leaders (Tech/Product/Production) to define project goals, stakeholders, deliverables and milestones. 

Identify cross-functional team responsibilities and hold those stakeholders accountable.

Daily communication with project leads across multiple cross-functional teams and roles which include but are not limited to other project managers, product owners, engineers and executives.

Create a project timeline and supporting documentation which includes but is not limited to key milestone delivery dates, meeting cadence and agendas, completion status and report on the overall status of the project at any time.

Must be able to highlight areas of risk and help define a path to resolution through stakeholder engagement, discussion points and action items. 

Proactively "connects the dots" between platforms, interfaces, project lanes and development teams.

Key Projects:

Recommend and drive implementation of scale optimization for our cloud infrastructure.

Work with management on implementation of operations processes.

Maintain software deliverables and compliance with event operations.

Author and publish technical documentation to build operations knowledge base.

Development of ticketing and support workflows to better assist production operations.

Work with software engineering to design and implement, maintain a CI/CD pipeline for rapid iteration and prototyping.

Help maintain deployment dashboards and health monitoring platforms for end users.

Qualifications:

What you bring to the team:

You have –

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

5+ years’ experience working in broadcast production engineering.

Dynamically and effectively communicate with production to meet the operational needs of the business.

Make clear sound decisions under pressure and rapidly changing situations.

Must thrive in a fast-paced, team environment.

Strong background in video production and or OTT platforms.

Must have a strong working knowledge for operation of advanced Cloud platforms architecture.

Knowledge of AWS services.

Fluent understanding of high availability and business continuity strategies.

Solid understanding of CI/CD pipeline methodologies.

Familiar with dashboarding tools like Grafana.

Understanding of containerization technology..

Multi-Cloud diversity is a plus.

Experience in defining and implementing a project process from inception to completion.

Knowledge of agile development methodologies and project management principles.

Must be able to understand and evaluate the programs’ strengths, weaknesses and risk with a mindset to analyze and overcome risk and strengthen weaknesses.

Strong leadership qualities that can guide strategic vision, delegate to others and drive overall program initiative to success.

Proficiency in project planning tools like the Atlassian suite and / or  Slack that facilitate tracking for a large project but also enough flexibility to support those groups that do not work within those toolsets.

 You may also have:

Past experience in a large scale internet based organization, media company or agency. 

Knowledge of media production planning, online video streaming across multiple platforms and internet / web technology is a plus.

PMP certification or similar program / project management certification.
