Duties & Responsibilities
In this career/journey level position the PMA performs moderate to complex assignments with average risk in an autonomous fashion with limited guidance. Responsible for PMA-level support through the lifecycle of each project. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Collaborate with program/project managers in the development of program/project management documentation, business cases, cost planning, reports, work plans, and performance metrics
Create project records in databases
Record and monitor project issues, risks and change requests
Record and monitor project action logs and decision logs
Update and analyze project data and performance metrics; prepare and maintain complex presentations and spreadsheets for analysis and recommendations
Research and compile information for project teams
Set up Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) structures and SAP orders for projects in standard databases
Ensure project control systems are in place
Monitor project financial performance
Train project managers on procedures, workflows, tools and best practices
Generate standardized and ad hoc financial reports
Help to define the Tailor Waiver documents prior to the review with the Quality CoE
Review time sheet delinquencies and follow up with project resources
Assisting the PM to complete project events including meeting setup, document distribution and other tasks, as requested
Preparing contract documents for the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) system which manages material procurement.
Monitoring Staffing Profile , if needed
Routing of project documents including estimates and contingency requests
Setting up authorized amounts in SAP BW for Project forecasting and associate these tracking plans to order groups
Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with project sponsors, vendors and key clients.
Demonstrates full technical competence
Exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance with moderate scope and complexity

Understanding PMA processes, tools and tasks
Understanding of the Business and IT strategies and objectives
Ability to operate in a matrixed environment
Understanding of IT roles and responsibilities
Knowledge of PDM
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Project Management Tools: Understands and uses the hard tools (e.g. project management software) and soft tools (e.g. how to facilitate startup meetings) to manage project activities. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Project, PowerPoint. HP Project and Portfolio Management Center Issue Management, Risk Management, Scope Management. SAP BW.
Project Planning : Understands the principles, theories, practices and techniques involved in planning, managing, and implementing projects and programs.
Data Management: Gathers, groups, classifies, or arranges written information or data in some meaningful order or form (e.g., reports, charts, graphs); data management includes determining what data to gather; and accurately maintaining data files.
Information Analysis: Breaks down information into components, identifies underlying principles or facts, and recognizes interrelationships; shows insight into the root-causes of problems or issues.
Metrics Reporting: Coordinates metrics reporting and ensures metrics with the associated analytics supporting the metrics are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Quality Assurance: Diligently attends to details and quality; shows a high level of care and thoroughness in handling the details of the job; maintains focus and quality under distracting working conditions and high workload.
Written Communication: Demonstrates skill in communicating information and ideas in writing so others will understand. Proofread work for correct style, format, spelling and punctuation.
