Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Principal Network Engineer to join our team at our client s site in Aurora, Colorado.

Our Hardware and Infrastructure Engineering (HW&I) team has a professional Principal Network Engineer opportunity available in the Hardware and Infrastructure Organization in Aurora CO. This position will perform Network Architecture, Design and implementation of network topologies and security components for a large scale Network. The Ideal candidate will have a CCNP or related Certification; several years of architectural design experience, as well as experience creating engineering design artifacts from requirements for large scale network systems. The qualified individual should possess knowledge and experience with network technologies, services, operations, and security practices.

US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance is required.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience directly related to network architectural design
  • Solid Network Architect experience with in-depth understanding of network topologies, technologies and associated services, management, operations, and security practices/techniques
  • Strong understanding of multilevel security and authentication
  • Experience with LAN and WAN design, implementation, diagnostics, performance and management
  • Experience developing technical documents
  • Experience working with subcontractors
  • Proven communicator with Leadership, Peers and Subordinates
  • Experience with Data Center LAN design, Implementation, diagnostics, performance and management
  • Familiarity and ability to understand configurations of:
  • Cisco ASA firewall experience with Contexts, filters, SSL VPN
  • Cisco ISR Router experience with GRE and IP Sec tunnels as well as ACLs, OSPF, NATs, HSRP
  • Cisco LAN Core and Distribution switches, experience with ACL s, routing, hardening
  • Cisco Nexus experience with VPC
  • Familiar with TCP, and secure protocols

Desired Skills:

  • Current DOD-S Security Clearance
  • Network Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE
  • Knowledge/experience with SAN and WAN implementations
  • Knowledge/experience with DoD Network Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and IA hardening requirements and implementation
  • Knowledge of ISP/ASP model and related SLAs
  • Knowledge of and ability to implement firewall ACLs
  • Experience working at DISA and DoD facilities
  • Configuration Management policies and tools

Required Education (including Major):

Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8+ years of related work experience.
