Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Linux Administrator to join our team at our client s site in Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Job Description:

The candidate must be experienced with administering Linux servers, both physical and virtual. The candidate must have experience applying system security setting as outlined in the DISA Security Technical Implementation

Guides (STIG) and DISA Security Requirements Guide (SRG) to the customer s Linux systems and be familiar with their impact on the systems and related applications. The candidate must have excellent communication and documentation skills, and will be responsible for creating all related standards, operating procedures, and security documentation.


Qualifications:

3-5 years work experience as Systems Administrator

Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux

Operation, maintenance of software/network on virtual and physical hosts supporting the Linux operating systems

Account management

System Patching, System tuning, Backup and Recovery

Troubleshooting database problems, failures, and performance issues.

Experience with administering systems in a government environment a plus

Experience with VMWare is a plus

Maintain and upgrade PKI Certificates

Experience applying STIG/SRG to Linux servers

Experience with technologies such as Web Services, YUM, SSH, SSL/TLS, virtual environments, NAS

May program in an administrative language; Shell Scripting

Familiarity with programming languages such as Perl, PHP, Python are a PLUS

Familiarity with HBSS

ACAS scanning and reporting

SCAP scanning and remediation

Remote support to end users and servers

Experience with system imaging, installation, and updating

Knowledge of UNIX is a plus


Clearance Requirements:

Must have a minimum of a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility on hire and confirmed within JPAS.


Education:

Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.


Certification Requirements:

DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ ce) at date of hire

DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager (e.g.., Red Hat Certification (RHCSA or RHCE)).

If you start only with a Security+ ce, continued employment will be contingent on receiving the additional Linux certification within 3 months after your start date.

CND-IS Certification (i.e. CEH, CySA+, GICSP, or SSCP only one is required)

If you start only with a Security+ ce, continued employment will be contingent on receiving the additional CND-IS certificate within 3 months after your start date.
