Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Director of Content & Creative Services to join our team at our client’s site in Redwood City, CA.


We are looking for a Director of Content & Creative Services to tell our story to the world. You are a fit if you love storytelling, you understand your audience, and you know what role different pieces of content play. You will define our buyer’s journey, develop content plans, and run the production engine that creates that content. Copywriting, graphic design, and editorial oversight are within your responsibilities. In addition to direct reports, you’ll manage a roster of great vendors & agencies to bring your content into reality. This part of the job has a significant process-design and project management component. You’ll build an efficient and reliable content engine that publishes on time and gets results. 


Within the Content & Creative Services organization, you will also manage art direction, our brand identity, and brand governance. You and your creative team will get to establish our look and feel, our tone, all the way from our corporate brand, to specific digital campaigns, to our booth at a tradeshow. You will help us leave an emotional imprint on our audience, so they remember us and feel great about working with us. 


You will report directly to the CMO. Candidates who came up through a creative background (designer, art director, creative director, etc) are welcome and encouraged to apply. Similarly, candidates who come from an operational background in content marketing or related fields are also welcome and encouraged to apply. In either case you will have an Art Director / Creative Lead reporting directly to you. You’ll be entering an industry that’s new, growing very fast, and where the story hasn’t been fully established yet. That’s what makes this an incredibly exciting opportunity for any marketer. How You’ll Drive Impact

  • Know our audience well. We converse with developers and architects who create software. You’ll get to know their craft.
  • Develop and execute on our editorial calendar to meet our thought leadership and demand generation goals. 
  • Contribute daily to creating and producing content such as webinars, ebooks, blog posts, and video scripts.
  • Amplify and iterate the voice of the Split brand.
  • Rigorously measure, test, and experiment with new content ideas.
  • Push us to think big and stand out.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience as a content and/or creative marketer in B2B technology, ideally with a software developer-focused product.
  • Cogent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills. Your work will appear in our blog, website, webinars, and sales presentations, among other formats.
  • Have operated in and managed a high-functioning content production process. 
  • Have managed teams of 4+ direct reports along with freelancers, contractors, & vendors
  • Have a journalistic eye for an original story angle.
  • Familiar with SEO and social marketing tactics that will help us drive distribution.
  • Organized, deadline-driven, and effective at managing projects.
  • A fan of the oxford comma, memorized a couple of the pantone colors, and have a sense of humor
