Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Consultant, Business Continuity and Compliance to join our team at our client s site in Redwood City, California.

Job Description:

Business Continuity and Compliance Consultant, responsible for the administration of program tools to ensure the resiliency posture is stable and effective. This includes ensuring that all resiliency related plans and strategies are current and relevant and adhere to the Business Continuity Management (BCM) policy and standards. In addition, the associate will be expected to aid in the coordination, planning and testing of all BCM Program activities. In alignment with the BCM program s objective of ensuring the recoverability of critical business processes, the candidate will maintain and update the resiliency related plans including the Crisis Management, Emergency Preparedness, and Pandemic Preparedness plans. The associate will maintain related strategic program documentation and partner with appropriate business and technology teams to ensure that resiliency plans are being updated and approved as required. The associate will also support the emergency response and preparedness program objectives which includes oversight of the response processes and facilitation of training and education.


Major Accountabilities:

Assist departmental Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plan coordinators with the following: o Developing Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery strategies by utilizing industry best practices and adhering to BCM policy and standards o Reviewing and approving departmental Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Business Impact Analysis plans on an annual basis

Assist the Business Continuity Officer with the following o Validating that all Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans are created, assigned and accessible by plan owners and coordinators in the Business Continuity Planning repository o Coordinate training and awareness opportunities including Business Continuity, Emergency Response and Pandemic Preparedness including employee safety required training for emergency response teams

Participate in development and maintenance of crisis and emergency related Everbridge notification system template creation, notifications and other messaging

Provide support, guidance and direction for personnel during emergency response related activations and other activities

Provide expertise on employee safety related programs, including best practices, program enhancements, and analysis and/or resolution of potential issues, risk identification, and process improvements

Manage onsite emergency and employee safety supply inventories and related maintenance of safety equipment Skills/Knowledge: Required

Minimum 3 years of Business Continuity and/or Disaster Recovery experience working in a corporate environment preferred

Will consider combined Emergency Response and/or Health & Safety program experience with strong understanding of Business Continuity Management principles

Demonstrated project management, problem-solving and organizational skills

Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork, act as a change agent, effectively remove obstacles, ability to motivate, and lead by example

Able to manage cross-departmental resiliency personnel including Business Recovery, Disaster Recovery or Emergency Response team members

Strong analytical, prioritization, and report writing skills and experience

Proactively manage assignments and able to meet established deadlines

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with all functional levels of the organization
