Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Design and Analysis Engineer 3 to join our team at our client’s site in Oklahoma City, OK.


Will be responsible for the configuration and operate the C-17 avionics systems test facility. Will work with the systems software engineers, Quality engineering, and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) employees to ensure compliance of the tests and the lab configuration.


SKILLS/EXPERIENCE


• Position Responsibilities:


o Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines in the development, testing, and support of the C-17 platform.

o Responsible for operating the Avionics/Flight Controls simulation laboratories for the C-17 program.

o These laboratories are systems and software development and test facilities for actual and simulated LRU (Line Replaceable Unit) integration and test.

o Responsible for the configuration of the test facility, integration and test of aircraft/simulation software and hardware, and executing test procedures.

o Interfacing with design engineers will be vital, as is defining lab configurations which support requirements needed to test ongoing aircraft enhancements and modernization efforts.

o May actually have to "fly" the C-17 simulator for trouble shooting or for customer support in a test or maintenance environment.

o Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.


This position requires the ability to obtain an active U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.) An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is require.


Export Control Requirement:


This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):


o Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field of study

o Experience with aircraft Systems Integration such as avionics and flight controls

o Experience in testing flight critical systems via simulators and hardware-in-the-loop environment

o Experience in software testing systems (Avionics)


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):


Experience with any of the following is desired:

o C-17 operations, and data systems

o Working with commercial communication standards such as 1553, RS422, and Ethernet


Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
