Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Scrum Master III to join our team at our client s site in Brentwood, TN.


The Scrum Master (SM) is responsible for facilitating team level agile processes and release train execution around requirements definition, scope, and delivery. The Sr. SM must resolve team level impediments, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement throughout the delivery teams and lifecycle. The Sr. SM has an expert level understanding of agile scrum and kanban principles and practices, and understands the unique opportunities and challenges associated with organizing, facilitating, and continuously aligning the scrum team with the guiding business strategy.

  • Works with product management, product owners, and business owners to help assure execution alignment for scrum teams.
  • Facilitates agile scrum team execution and feature completion tracking for one scrum team.
  • Assists with economic decision-making by facilitating Epic estimation by teams and rollup to program level visibility as necessary.
  • Helps manage risk and dependencies.
  • Create, modify, publish and leverage standardized Agile Metrics to facilitate continuous improvement on the Scrum Team.
  • Work with multiple in-house and external Scrum teams enterprise-wide to remove impediments and manage dependencies.
  • Arrange and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, story grooming, and demo/retro. Ensure quick inspection and proper use of agile process.
  • Escalate and assist in resolution of impediments.
  • Facilitates release planning events for assigned scrum teams.
  • Encourage and guide the adoption of DevOps policies and DevOps procedures.
  • Provide coaching on agile practices and methods for assigned as well as other scrum teams.


  • 2-3 years of experience as a scrum master
  • 3-5 years of experience leading technical and non-technical teams in an agile environment.
  • Extensive experience in managing multiple scrum teams.
  • Strong manager, collaborator and servant leader.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advanced Understanding of ITIL framework
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Experience working with JIRA and Confluence preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
