Blackstone Technology Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Information Systems Security Officer to join our team at our client s site in Washington, DC.
The Information systems security officer (ISSO) will research, develop, implement, test and review the customers requirements for information security in order to protect information and prevent unauthorized access. Candidate will inform users about security measures, explain potential threats, install software, implement security measures and monitor networks.
Define, create and maintain the documentation for System Accreditation and Authorization (AKA C&A) of each information system in accordance with government requirements. Will also assess the impacts on system modifications and technological advances. Additionally, the ISSO will review systems in order to identify potential security weaknesses, recommend improvements to amend vulnerabilities, implement changes and document upgrades.
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or five years of comparable work experience. 5 years of ISSO experience.
Required: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Candidates must be highly analytical and effectively able to troubleshoot and prioritize needs, requirements and other issues. Aside from technical skills, prospective candidates should have excellent communications, teamwork, leadership and conflict management skills. Because of the constant developing nature of information systems and cyber-attacks, officers must be committed to continuous learning and system development.
Experience with the DOJ Cyber Security Asset Management tool
Experience guiding engineers in the remediation of vulnerabilities disclosed during system security scans form tools such as Nessus, Webinspect, and App Detective.
